GENERAL FUNCTION: The Business Banking Loan Doc Prep Specialist II will be responsible for the accurate and complete preparation of lending documents utilizing the document preparation system in accordance with the approved credit facility. The DocPrepSpecialist II will be

responsible for meeting completeness, turn time and accuracy requirements dictated by

established service level agreements. The Doc Prep Specialist II will work closely with the Loan

Closing Specialists, Business Banking Officers, Branch Lender, Relationship Manager and external closing agents and will be responsible for releasing the complete closing package directly to the field for execution with the client.

Under minimal supervision and using well-established guidelines, process a complex line of loan product set, along with modifications and renewals of the product set. The position will require a high level of knowledge of loan documentation, policiesandprocedures as well as knowledge of assigned product lines, lending operations, policies, practices and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a solid foundation in all areas of commercial loan documentation for all states in the

Bancorp footprint, keeping abreast of changing legal situations, industry trends and product specific issues. Demonstrate and appropriately apply a working knowledge of diverse commercial loan documentation, legal requirements, Fifth ThirdBancorpCommercial Loan Policies, Procedures,

State and Federal laws and Regulations and apply that knowledge.

  • Analyze and interpret the Credit Approval document, and supplemental vendor information to determine borrower, collateral and guarantor requirements and ensure production of appropriate documentation in compliance with the terms of the loan request.

  • Collaborate and provide feedback to Loan Closing Specialist on any concerns identified as it pertains to loan documentation.

  • Prepare all commercial loan and collateral documentation for new and renewed loans, which may have a complex loan structure or collateral requirements, ensuring that all prepared loan documents are in compliance with the credit approval document.

  • Input all required entity data, loan products, collateral details, covenants, representations and warranties accurately into the documentation system to result in a work product that is error-free.

  • Determine all documents required for the various loan structures.

  • Prepare loan documents utilizing the vendor document preparation system.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Two (2) years' experience with a focus on due diligence, loan documentation, or related work experience. Business Banking/Commercial loan experience preferred.

  • Experience in an automated loan origination environment preferred.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills evidenced in previous assignments.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of applicable bank policies and procedures.

  • Strong Knowledge of loan documents and requirements.

  • Strong Knowledge of commercial lending and loans.

  • Strong understanding of all Business Banking and Commercial loan products.

  • Strong knowledge of Business Banking and Commercial Lending Credit Policy/Guidelines.

  • Strong knowledge of loan documentation, local, state and federal regulatory requirements.

  • Knowledge of B2B, CCAS, AFS, Loan Doc Prep System (or equivalent systems), and other banking systems preferred.

  • Good personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, and email.

  • Self-starter and works with minimal direction.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
