Central Operations is the home of over 2,300 employees who handle Fifth Third Bank's back-office functions and Contact Center services for nearly six million customers. Our goal is to operate as an efficient, behind-the-scenes machine to allow Fifth Third Bank transactions to be seamlessly executed for our affiliates and customers.
GENERAL FUNCTION: Works under the direction of the Regional Cashiering Manager. Responsible for managing and monitoring all daily activity and responsibilities within the cash vault including but not limited to workflow, productivity, riskmanagement,quality, customer experience, and team engagement.
Additionally, must ensure staff compliance with the Bancorp policies and procedures, as well as Cash Vault procedures and controls.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensuresthatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Provide daily leadership for all employees within the Cash Vault.
. Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day workflow in the Cash Vault.
. Responsible for prioritizing work and delegating tasks to ensure proper coverage of daily functions.
. Monitors, meets and exceeds high production and quality standards and ensure that vault procedures and risk controls are executed at all times.
. Assist and ensure that vault employees have appropriate access levels to systems and programs needed to perform their job functions.
. Maintain optimum expense controls, efficiency and cost-effectiveness in a high-volume, fast pace environment with the focus of attaining LOB financial goals.
. Oversee and ensure resolution of operational, customer service, and employee issues that escalate beyond staff experience and knowledge and require immediate resolution.
. Supervise the training of new hires to ensure a full understanding of the cash vault procedures, controls, quality, and production expectations, as well as the Bancorp procedures.
. Assist in developing tools and recommendations to further enhance training and procedures
. Support senior leadership in the evaluation and recommendation of resources needed to accommodate increases in volume due to new business and processes.
. Ensure that all employees are cross-trained to understand and perform multiple job functions within the Cash Vault.
. Meet individually with team on a monthly basis to discuss monthly productivity and quality metrics.
. Ability to provide daily constructive coaching and feedback regarding procedural and behavioral opportunities.
. Attending, participating and leading meetings in order to communicate business needs, expectations and operational successes.
. Coordinate and manage all operational and security equipment service needs.
. Ensure employees complete all Bancorp compliance training courses before deadline.
. Perform quality reviews and fulfill expectations for the cash vault in accordance with the monthly self-assessment and audit procedures.
. Cultivate a positive, engaging work environment that includes weekly staff meetings, engagement activities and opportunity to share best practices and feedback.
. Develop and execute a highly-effective Team Engagement Plan in order to manage a high level of employee engagement.
. Participate in additional opportunities identified to continue to build new skills as a leader and professional.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
. High School diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred.
. Four (4) years banking operations experience, preferred, or same in a comparable environment.
. Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
. Proficient with Microsoft office products Outlook, Word, and Excel.
. Strong math, verbal, written and organizational skills.
. Demonstrates mastery of all area equipment and related non-exempt responsibilities
. Self-motivated with strong problem solving, analytical, and decision making skills.
. Demonstrated qualities that align with Fifth Third Core Values and leadership competencies.
. Demonstrates or ability to master all vault equipment and related work.
. Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to interact in a positive manner with co-workers and management.
. Ability to adhere to strict procedures to maintain customer privacy.
