GENERAL FUNCTION: Manages a team of Senior Product Development Managers or Product Development Managers or may be an individual contributor with broad product scope. Develops long-term product plans, focusing on customers, competition,profitability,product life cycle, and service considerations. Coordinates and leads the activities of cross-functional teams involving various business partners in the development and deployment of new products, product enhancements, and process orproceduralimprovements. Develops financial operating plans, projects profit and loss, and is charged with achieving annual sales objectives for assigned products or areas.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank#s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the Deposit and Fee Income Product Development Team.

  • Manage the overall P&L of the Deposit and Fee Income Product suite to ensure that revenue and margin targets are being met and expenses are within budget.

  • Establish annual goals and objectives for each product.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of new deposit and fee income products and services.

  • Ensure employee goals are established and tracked annually.

  • Actively cultivate and manage relationships with key customers and internal business partners.

  • Actively monitor industry trends; participates in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth;developingthe appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor#s degree in marketing, finance or business; MBA preferred.

  • Seven to ten years experience in financial services product management.

  • Tenure with a large multi-regional bank or financial institution.

  • Experience in managing a team of professionals, if required

  • Recognized ability to interact with executive and senior management at headquarters and in the field (our Affiliate Bank structure) with a professional demeanor and #presence#.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to articulate and sell ideas throughout a large organization.

  • Working knowledge of the related areas of finance, information technology, risk management, legal, compliance, education, Internet banking, call center sales and marketing.

  • Willingness to be #hands on# and act as individual project manager whenever necessary.

  • For Deposit Product Leader: Demonstrated success in strategic development and program execution with consumer banking products:

o Checking accounts

o Savings Accounts and CDs

o Ancillary Banking Services

  • For Loan Product Leader: Demonstrated success in strategic development and program execution with core consumer loan products:

o Home equity loans and lines of credit

o Direct auto and other non-real estate secured installment loans

o Unsecured lending
